Straight-Leg, I am utterly confused! I just used my favorite search word ‘PostHuman’, and you know what I found…..Boris Groys!!

 

No way!? I thought he was more like a guy-guy-philosopher? Never expected him to hang with Braidotti and Haraway!

 

But that’s the confusing bit! I do not see any of their names in the announcement. They just do not pop up at all. Is he keeping them a secret, or what?

 

Now I am lost, is he hanging with the posthuman gang or not? 

 

I don’t think so. I am reading names like Heidegger, Derrida, Nietzsche. They are conveniently in all genealogies nowadays. A proper line-up. I’m just fed-up with it.

 

Those dudes are no posthumanist! WTF I must say I struggled picturing Groys in a mushroom suit.

 

Whoahahaha, don’t ruin my happy memories with Haraway and Braidotti (and Tsing). 

 

But a line-up, you are so right. They are holding the line, the dude-line. This sounds like re-writing the whole posthuman genealogy. The posthuman gang just ignored, run-over, made into compost and used to fertilise the old ways..

 

As always ….. sighhh. But what am I thinking? We are not letting that happen, do we? We are not signing ourselves in for that seminar. 

But wait….. it is already over! And so it should be. And what happened at that seminar? We won’t know, there is no info anywhere. Probably not a huge success then!

 

I am so relieved, what a shock it would be to see Matilda-effect-activity still happening. Let’s turn it around, take this space to celebrate the posthuman gang as they should be honored. Let’s take a deep bow for Donna Haraway, Rosi Braidotti, Katherine Hayles, Jane Bennett, Cary Wolfe, Francesca Ferrando, Maria Puig de la Bellacasa, Karen Barad, Vinciane Despret and Isabelle Stengers and all those in the order of the compost, may you be never forgotten, neglected, or appropriated.
