We developed the characters of Misty & Straight-Leg when we listened back to our conversations and discovered that one of us can be quite direct in her remarks while the other might just conjure up a fog. We decided to turn Misty & Straight-Leg into a serial-story (feuilleton). Often at the end of a long day of work, enjoying a glass of something, we write together a humorous-critical reflection of the day. You may guess who’s who.

You like a party, don’t you? Misty asked her friend.
Oh yes for sure, what are we celebrating?
Working together, making movies, life at large…
The big stuff, ok, I’m in. This calls for bubbles.
Almost everything calls for bubbles, that’s a no-brainer!
Straight-leg looked at her friend cracking up by this remark, of which she did not understand the joke. But the laughing was very sticky, so she joined in.
The laughing always did it, for both of them. That is why they were so good together, Misty thought. But this time, there was something different too.
Cheers to that, Straight leg said, reading her friend's mind, but something did not fit completely…………
Okay, are we playing it that way? Well, for one, there is no music…..but there is a disco vibe in the office. How did that happen?
Suddenly, the beats of kitschy Italian disco filled the office. And the lights went on and off and on and off and green and red …An answer appeared in an unexpected place, or was it familiar?
Familiar, definitely, and Misty liked that. And it was not even a Friday!
If we celebrate, maybe we should just dance? Feels like we are over-thinking things again…
No, Misty thought, well I am not. I thought we were definitely earning some celebration now we achieved all this…. Meanwhile she saw her friend making festive moves on the beat of the music.
For me it still feels more like escaping all the work still to be done, than really celebrating, but you are right, we should be proud of what we have accomplished. Thank you.
